Mike Bier

Director of RED Applications, Real Estate Development

Mike Bier joined CHN Housing Partners in 2018 and has served in several capacities. He is currently Director of Real Estate Development Operations, overseeing the advancement of CHN’s real estate development projects and leading continuous improvement of departmental operations.

Mike began his career in commercial construction and transitioned to affordable housing development in 1999. Since then, he has served as a project manager for both nonprofit and for-profit developers, coordinating historic renovations, occupied rehabilitations and new construction projects. He has experience with a wide range of financing sources, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, FHA-insured loans, HUD Section 202, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) and HOME funds.

Mike is a Housing Credit Certified Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Virginia.
