Construction of Inez Killingsworth began in May 2016 and was completed in July of 2017.
Inez Killingsworth is a new permanent supportive housing project for chronically homeless individuals of Cleveland, Ohio. The building will provide approximately 66 1-bedroom apartments including 7 ADA handicap accessible units for individuals who have experienced chronic, long-term homelessness with onsite supportive services.
The site will be monitored with cameras and a 24-hour staffed front desk. The building also will offer a community room, meeting space, computer lab and an outdoor community area with a garden.
Emerald Alliance IX is part of Housing First, a coalition of public and private organizations whose mission is to establish the permanent supportive housing model in Cuyahoga County, Ohio and to end chronic homelessness in our community. The model is performing above expectations in Cleveland, with less than a 1% return to homelessness.
Key partners of Housing First include CHN Housing Partners as lead developer/owner, Emerald Development & Economic Network, Inc. (EDEN) as property manager and co-owner, FrontLine Service as lead service provider, Enterprise Community Partners as coalition leader, and Care Alliance as mobile health clinic provider.
