Chris Warren retired in 2014 as Mayor Jackson’s Chief of Regional Development where he oversaw five City departments and led the City’s economic and neighborhood development initiatives. His 50-year career included a 12-year stint in Mayor Michael White’s Cabinet, first as Community Development Director and later as Economic Development Director. In addition to his public sector career, he held positions with several nonprofit neighborhood development and advocacy organizations, including:
- CEO of Shorebank Enterprise Group
- Executive Director of Cleveland Housing Network
- Executive Director of Tremont West Development Corporation
- Community Organizer for Merrick House
- Community Organizer for Greater Cleveland Welfare Rights Organization
Chris serves on the Boards of Northwest Neighborhoods (formerly Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization), Neighborhood Family Practice, as well as CHN Housing Partners.
