Caroline J. Peak, MLIS is the Public Service Manager of the Collinwood Branch of the Cleveland Public Library. Ms. Peak served on the board of Northeast Shores Development Corporation for 21 years and is now President of its Board of Directors. She received the Collinwood Hall of Fame Inductee Award for 2017. Ms. Peak is very passionate about improving the quality of life for citizens by giving back to her community. She is a 2017 graduate of Neighborhood Leadership Development Program and recipient of the Living Out Loud Senior of the Year Award for Ward 8 of the City of Cleveland and Community Service Award from Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI). Mrs. Peak serves as a member and leader of the Parent Commission for Cleveland Metropolitan Alliance of Black School Educators; a member of Urban League of Greater Cleveland Excellence in Education Stakeholder Circle; member 2nd Vice President of the National Congress of Black Women Greater Cleveland Chapter where she lead a book discussion at the National Luncheon Leadership Series featuring “Lead From The Outside—How to Build Your Future and Make Real Change by Stacey Abrams.
She is an active volunteer in schools, community/civic organizations, block clubs and neighborhood leadership groups. She serves on the board of Greater Cleveland Safety Council and is an elected Precinct Committee person for the City of Cleveland Ward 8 -E. As a recipient of a Certificate of Completion for HIP Cuyahoga Health Improvement Partnership Community Leader she now serves on United Ways’ Health Impact Committee and serves as Secretary of Bond accountability Commission for Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD) where she also served as a True2U Mentor for 8th graders. As a Certified Public Librarian, she is a life-long learner and enjoys reading, researching, sharing information and providing services to the patrons visiting Collinwood Library and the boards on which she serves. Her Motto is: “Building Relationships to create Partnerships”.
